We recommend you use Firefox 3 for use with Rocket Matter.

1. Date Calculator is now on the Create Event page for easier calendaring.  Previously, it was only available to editing Statutes of Limitations.
2. Statute of Limitations date now appears on the Matter Dashboard and is scheduled on the Matter Calendar.
3. Resetting a password for a user is now much easier, and does not require the verification of the old password.
4. Names of deleted matters can now be reused.
5. The Global Intelligent Search has been expanded to include more options.  Users on Safari and Internet Explorer may encounter issues clicking on the scrollbars – use the arrow keys instead.  Firefox users will have no issues.

Rocket Matter provides web-based legal software for practice management and time and billing.  Our Legal SaaS solution provides law firms with an alternative to expensive Time Matters, PC Law, or other install.

1. Screen Printing:  Now, it’s easy to print a hard copy of your User Dashboard, Matter Dashboard, To-do’s, Calendar, and Billing.
2. Matter Relationships:  You now have the ability to add Companies as related contacts.

Rocket Matter is proud to announce that we now offer data imports for your Time Matters contacts! Once you sign up, we can help you generate an export of your data and migrate you to the web generation of legal software.

That’s just one more way to get your data into our system. We also import information from Outlook, Address Book, or anything that exports to vCard.

2. Improved To-do Lists: Now, when you assign a matter to a to-do item, you can click on the matter and navigate immediately to the Matter Dashboard. We also cleaned up the look of the to-do lists a bit.
3. Edit Matter screen: In addition to adding the Date Calculator to this screen, we now allow for you to change your matter billing type to Hourly, Flat Fee, or Contingency.

Thank you to our Rocket Pilots who provide us with feedback on our legal SaaS application and help shape the direction of Rocket Matter. We will continue to roll out changes and improvements based on your suggestions!

Globally – Each user has a default rate.
Matter Specific – Certain matters can now be set up with their own rates per user.
Item Specific – Change your rate on an item by item basis for maximum flexibility.

To set a Matter Specific rate, follow these easy steps:

1. Navigate to the Matter Dashboard.
2. Click on Edit Matter.
3. Next to the radio button for “Yes, this matter bills hourly”, click on the “Set Custom Rates” link.
4. This will bring up a dialog showing the billable rates of your timekeepers, with the ability to override rates on the matter level.

1. Month Chooser on User Dashboard: This is the first of many calendaring improvements we will gradually be rolling out. Now you can quickly view any date’s activities from your Dashboard.
2. Edit Matter Relationships: In your relationships sections on your Matter Dashboard, you will see a link to Edit Relationships. This allows you to quickly link contacts in your system to your existing matters.

Please take a look at the following video on our Rocket Operations (RocketOps) support site. You will need Quicktime if you don’t currently have it installed:

1. Add Matter Validations: Duplicate matters are prevented in the Add Matter Wizard. Flat fee numeric values are also now validated.

We also addressed the following issues:

1. Addressed a limitation with Firefox which affected viewing certain calendar days.
2. Eliminated an issue where new Matter names are blanked out when focus shifts away and back to the matter name text box.

1. Optimized iPhone experience: Use your Contacts and Calendar in a much more fluid way on your iPhone. You can navigate this information just as you would a playlist. Make phone calls and send emails directly from Rocket Matter! And if you want to bill on the road, you can still launch the full normal view of Rocket Matter.
2. To-Do list improvements: Based on feedback from our users, we changed the To-do list behavior on your User Dashboard to include all to-do items you have across all matters. Now you can really apply Getting Things Done principles with Rocket Matter!
3. Better Pending Bills screen: Instead of providing you with a date range, we now provide you with a billing date field that shows you all matters that are ready to be billed, whether they have recent activity, the client has a balance, or a contingency case has been closed. You can also filter by dollar amount, if you don’t wish to bill items with a little activity.

We also addressed the following issues:

1. Added stability to the Add Matter wizard.
2. Added additional validation to the Add Matter wizard.
