It works the way you do
Only information most likely to be used is displayed on any given screen within Rocket Matter. This reduces the information overload that plagues many case management software programs. Better than the alternatives, especially for solos
I really like using the Rocket Matter software a lot. I had done a trial of Clio before choosing Rocket Matter and found RM to be more intuitive and easy to set up. And RM is certainly miles better than trying to use QuickBooks to do the same things!
I use the tool to track time spent on client matters, generate invoices, and track the payment status for clients, as well as to handle trust accounting. The user interface is extremely friendly, very well designed, and the whole system ‘just works’, which is really important since I’m a solo practitioner and don’t have a lot of time to learn new about quirky software. And on the rare instances where I have a question, customer service gets back to me lightning fast.

A completely different option that firms should consider is Rocket Matter from the company of the same name. This new time-and-billing and case management product is a Web 2.0 application, meaning that it runs online with no software to install. It works on Macs (and even PCs) and is accessible anywhere with Internet access. So if you have an iPhone, you can access and work with your files.

Like many of you, I have been frustrated with the lack of law office specific case management software for the solo and small law firm. Oh, sure there is software out there. And some of it is great. For years now I have been looking forward to the day when we could throw the clunky, bloated and overly complicated Timeslips and Abacus combo out the window and scream from the top floor of our building “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore!” Six months ago I found Rocket Matter and was rescued from the precipice.
