The biggest trends in online marketing are always changing. It’s something you always have to pay attention to and always be on top of. This year in 2014 I would say the following are pretty critical developments.
Probably the biggest thing is the move towards mobile and the move towards review sites. People are walking around with smart phones and they’re looking things up on Yelp, they’re looking things up on Google Maps, so it’s really important to be anywhere where there’s a review site or some sort of like local listing so that’s probably one of the most critical things that we’re seeing.
Another thing that we’re seeing is the downgrade in SEO. So, Google keeps on winning this award. They keep on getting smarter and smarter and smarter. So, one thing that you have to pay attention to with SEO going forward is that you are not going to be able to get the results that you thought that you were going to be able to get without additional help so SEO is a starting point, but it has to be combined with all the additional elements. Same with social media. Social media is a starting point, but it’s only effective when combined with all these additional elements so those are some of the things that we are seeing this year.
