New Features Make Their Debut in Rocket Matter’s Atlas Gold Edition

September 5, 2017

Now Available!

Rocket Matter now ships standard with Communicator, a secure messaging tool that allows legal professionals to collaborate on cases from within their practice management software.

Communicator functions similarly to tools such as HipChat or Slack and is built into the core Rocket Matter application. Lawyers can share files, host video conferences, and associate their messages with matters for easy archiving. Communicator also lets you set events with natural language processing, creating a conversational ability to arrange calendar appointments.

Mobile Application:

After rolling out the first native mobile application in the legal practice management field, Rocket Matter has completely relaunched its mobile offering on iOS, Android, and Windows mobile devices.

The mobile functionality in the Atlas Gold release is free to all Rocket Matter users and encompasses many more capabilities than the previous smartphone apps.  As legal consumers conduct more and more business from their phones these days, Rocket Matter decided to redo their mobile applications from the ground up to meet the needs of modern attorneys and their staff.

LawToolBox Integration

Atlas Gold integrates with LawToolBox, a court rules and deadline management system provider. Subscribers to LawToolBox can have their case deadlines imported directly into Rocket Matter.

eCheck Payments:

Law firms using Rocket Matter can now collect eCheck payments via electronic invoicing, payment plans, and recurring billing thanks to our integration with the legal payment processing specialist, LexCharge. While you can still accept credit cards and checks, eCheck payments allow law firms to collect payments with bank account information instead, speeding collection times and lowering processing rates.

Request Retainer Feature:

Rocket Matter’s new “Request Retainer” feature helps you quickly request funds from your clients at your convenience. You can send them a “Request Retainer” payment notification via a customizable email message. The clients, in turn, can choose to pay with a credit card, debit card, or eCheck.
