App of the Week: Feedly – Organize and Read Your Favorite Blogs and News Sites On The Go

    Contents

Earlier this week, I talked about my decision to go with Feedly as a replacement for the soon to be defunct Google Reader. After only a few days use, I’m sold. It’s like Google Reader, only better.
Feedly organizes the contents of your favorite feeds, blogs and news sites that you can quickly scan, read or share.

Instead of having to hunt down for information, feedly uses RSS to aggregate the contents of the news sites and blogs you like and deliver them as a fast mobile-optimized experience.

In addition to the desktop app and Chrome, Firefox and Safari extensions, Feedly has robust iOS and Android apps.
If you have a Google Reader account, simply sign in with your Google credentials after downloading the app and your feeds and categories will be transferred. Scroll down to Settings to switch between a light and dark theme and reorder categories alphabetically. Head over to Advanced Settings to change the look and feel, gestures, and navigation and to set up social sharing, read it later apps, and link shortening integrations.
If you’re new to RSS feeds aggregation, create a new Feedly account and start adding your favorite sites.
      Available: iOS, Android
      Cost: Free
