5 Podcasts for Tech Savvy Lawyers

Many of today’s lawyers use technology to ramp up productivity in their law practice and in their personal lives. A few become expert enough to write and talk about it. Here are five of the top podcasts, hosted by those few, that provide technology tips for lawyers.
1. Kennedy-Mighell Report – Hear how technology can help, legally speaking, with two of the top legal technology experts. Authors and lawyers, Dennis Kennedy and Tom Mighell host this Legal Talk Network show.
2. Mac Power Users – The Mac Power Users are lawyers Katie Floyd and David Sparks. The purpose of their show is to turn listeners into Mac Power Users. Each episode looks in-depth (usually more than an hour!) at one computing or technology related topic. Check out, also, MacSparky Screencasts by David Sparks.
3. Law Technology Now – Monica Bay, Editor-in-chief of Law Technology News, interviews key experts of the legal technology community, about top issues confronting the legal profession. If it’s tech, it’s a potential topic — from e-discovery to network infrastructure; from creating courtroon graphics to launching “green law” programs.
4. Law School Tech Talk – Sponsored by the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction, this podcast covers anything and everything related to technology in law schools. Hosted by David Dickens, Consulting Technologist at Pepperdine Law School, with co-hosts Ben Chapman, Asst. Dean for IT at Emory Law School; Jonathan Ezor, law professor and Director of the Institute for Business, Law & Technology at Touro Law School; and Debbie Ginsberg, Educational Technology Librarian at Chicago-Kent College of Law. The podcast is produced by Ed Myers, Media Services Coordinator at Temple School of Law.
5. Circuits with David Pogue – Although Mr. Pogue is not a lawyer and does not tailor his podcasts to a legal audience, the popular New York Times technology writer and presenter offers something for everyone, as his keynote address at the ABA TECHSHOW 2013, indicates.
