The heavy social media hitters strengthened their positions in 2013. Facebook eclipsed a billion users, Twitter went public, and LinkedIn continued to be the preferred site for employers and professionals. Even Google+ shot past the 300 million active user mark.

We used social networks to share information, catch up on the latest news, meet new people, further relationships, find jobs, and market our services.

But our preferences may have changed over the past year. Some people spurned Facebook because of privacy concerns, claimed Google+ as their go-to network, or got addicted to fun and interesting Subreddits. Which did you use most in 2013?
