Rocket Matter Presents Legal Cloud Computing Webinar For New York City Bar Association Members

    Contents

Rocket Matter is honored to partner with the New York City Bar Association to present a one-hour live webinar event, an exclusive for association members.

      LIVE WEBINAR
What is cloud computing? What are the implications for lawyers? What tools can I use in the cloud for my law practice?

Sometimes referred to as “Software as a Service” (SaaS), cloud computing is a category of software delivered over the internet rather than installed on a computer. It has become a common delivery model for many business applications.

For lawyers and law firms, computing in the cloud eliminates typical IT expenses, management, and headaches. Cloud options are often cost-effective, since they forego high, up-front costs in favor of predictable monthly fees, and provides mobility and flexibility.

      Presenter: Larry Port
Title: Cloud Computing for Legal Professionals
      Date and Time: Thursday, October 11, 2012 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Association members will learn about cloud-based applications in a live demonstration to help them become better organized, more efficient, and run a better law practice. Applications include Evernote, MindMeister, Dropbox, Efax, Time and Billing Software, and more. Also covered will be ethics opinions that address attorneys use of cloud computing.

The hour-long CLE program is part of Rocket Matter’s continuing outreach with bar associations to help their members understand technology issues. The focus on legal cloud computing is one of many topics the company explores with their educational content.
