Rocket Matter speaks at Avvo’s South Florida Tour on Legal Productivity

We were very happy to work with Mark Britton and Conrad Saam of Avvo to help make their Florida tour a success.  Avvo, like Rocket Matter, is an exciting new technology company in the legal space and is generating a lot of buzz.

Our subject:  “Running an Efficient and Error-free Law Firm”, which we’ll be offering again at the 2009 MILOFest in Disneyworld on November 6th.  In this presentation, we take the best of the best ideas from project management and productivity gurus which can help law firms increase their billable time.  Some of these concepts are touched on in our ILTA article, “Lean Initiatives”.

We spoke in Miami, as did legal marketing expert Mark Merenda and noted criminal defense blogger Brian Tannebaum.  We also joined up with them in West Palm Beach.  Both events were well attended by attorneys from different firm sizes and practices, some of whom may have recognized me from jury duty (which I get called for once a year in Palm Beach).

Mark and Conrad discussed compelling reasons for lawyers to think strategically about online activities, social media objectives, and embracing their Avvo rating and tools to maximize their web presence.
