Here’s a great tip for all of our Mac users out there, regarding saving all of your emails to the appropriate matter folder. This is a quick, easy way to upload all of your electronic communication for a given matter, using your Apple Mail account.
To quickly capture, upload and store all your emails, just follow these steps:
1. Click on the desired email in your inbox and drag it to your desktop. (This needs to be done one email at a time).
2. Go to the desired Matter Dashboard and click Add Documents.
3. Drag and drop the file into the upload box in the center of the Document Uploader page.
4. Click Start Upload.
You’re done. You’ll promptly get a message that your upload was a success. You can now go back to the documents section in that matter and your email will now reside there, along with your other documents and files. The email will have a .EML extension and you’ll be able to instantly pull it up, just like a document.
