What is So Awesome About Dropbox?
      What’s so awesome about Dropbox?
Dropbox is awesome. I love Dropbox. What’s cool about it is that you can save things on your computer and access it from anywhere at any time.
So the way it works is that you have an agent on your computer that synchronizes with Dropbox in the cloud. So the files are stored both locally on your computer and in Dropbox. You update any of your files, it automatically gets synchronizes with the cloud, and it’s instantaneous.
Now, imagine this. You can go to another computer and install Dropbox on that, and if you log in with the same credentials, your files are instantly replicated onto that other computer. It’s really amazing because it allows you to work with other people and have a completely synchronized file system.
Furthermore, you can access it from your mobile devices. So if you’re on the road and you need access to a document that’s on your computer, you can get to it.
It is an absolutely phenomenal way to do things and to manage your files, and that’s not even taking into consideration the ability to share files. Dropbox is used to share large files with people because you can share folders. So instead of emailing information to people, you can put something into a Dropbox folder, share it with another person, and they can take a look at it, and they can add their own documents to it, and so on and so forth.
We love Dropbox so much that we actually integrated it into Rocket Matter® so that if you have a matter that you’re working on, you can associate a Dropbox folder with it, and you can instantly see all of the files inside there and the subfolders inside there and add billable time for each one of them.
Dropbox is absolutely outstanding, and if you haven’t used it then I would definitely take a look at it.
