current legal podcasts

Since our post on the Top 10 Legal Podcasts, published over three years ago, there’s been a surge in the number of new entrants. The podcast renaissance may have something to do with Serial, the hugely popular NPR spinoff that has been downloaded over 70 million times. So we’ve listened to requests for an update and have compiled the (alphabetical) list below. We’ll update this post as more legal podcasts are launched and others fade so if you have a favorite that’s not mentioned, let us know in the comments and we’ll add to the list.

Everday Law Podcast
The tentacles of the law are many and they reach into the lives of ordinary people, sometimes when least expected. When that happens, it can cause alarm and anxiety. So much is at stake when you are involved in a legal proceeding and the costs of an error can be serious. So the aim of this podcast is to take the mystery out of the law for the ordinary person. We aim to give it context and to make it comprehensible. Hosted by Robert A. Monahan.

I am the Law
Hosted by Daniel Gershburg: I created the “I am the Law” Podcast because I didn’t think lawyers were having enough candid conversations about events that matter. No one was talking about what the legal marketplace was going to look like 5 years from now without it sounding like a sales pitch. The Podcast is not meant to convey any legal advice. It’s not meant to let you know that what we do is better than the competition in some way. It’s really a tool that allows you to listen to people in the legal marketplace, that are passionate about what they do.
