App of the Week: LawStack – A Legal Library in Your Pocket

Get free federal rules on your iPhone with the Lawstack app. It comes preloaded with the following:

• US Constitution
• Federal Rules of Federal of Civil Procedure
• Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure
• Federal Rules of Evidence
• Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure
• Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure

Each set of rules comes with search functionality allowing users to search by keyword or phrase.

LawStack also provides for in-app purchase of the US Code, CFR and a handful of state statutes. Prices vary, but at $8.99 for one section of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), the cost can quickly add up. I passed on the additional code purchase, but it’s a convenient option, should the need arise.

For quick, free access to frequently used federal rules, LawStack is a very handy app.
