The question is: “Is blogging dead?”. The answer is “absolutely not.”
Blogging is not what it was for people in 2006 and 2008 when very few people had blogs and it was a major differentiator. A lot of people now have blogs. A lot of people have blogs that they started and haven’t continued and are lying dormant, so that’s another factor. If you’re going to blog, be consistent about blogging. Blog once a week.
Blogs are far from being dead. They are a critical part of any internet or digital marketing effort because they allow you to target an audience. So you can come up with ideas for blog posts that are of interest and are relevant for your targeted client base.
Come up with blog posts for those, publish them, tweet them, compile them into e-books, even do Q&A style videos like these and that allows you to reach an audience. So blogging is almost the centerpiece of a well-orchestrated digital marketing campaign.
