App Spotlight: Boxer—Superior Email Management
Start 2017 off on the right foot with an inbox that’s a breeze to manage. For those control freaks out there (and who isn’t these days?), Boxer is a fantastic email management app that gives you a ton of options for customization. It conveniently integrates with your calendars and contacts, and it was voted one of the best productivity apps of 2016 by PC Magazine.
Setup is quick and easy. You can even set up multiple email accounts with Boxer, including Gmail, Yahoo!, Outlook iCloud, AOL, and Microsoft Exchange accounts.
What truly makes Boxer stand out from the crowd is its simple layout and ability to customize your swipe gestures. The app can tell the difference between a short and long swipe, which gives you a total of four gesture-based actions such as delete, archive, and to-do (among others).
Boxer’s gestures also make it easy to perform bulk actions, such as marking multiple annoying messages as spam. Couple this with the app’s quick response feature, and you’re sure to spend much less time dealing with your ever-growing inbox.
Boxer’s convenience also lies in its integrations. Instead of having to bounce back and forth between multiple apps on your iPhone, Boxer gives you access to your phone’s calendar and contacts directly from within the app. Believe it or not, this feature is pretty hard to come by on most of today’s email management apps. The app also integrates with Facebook, LinkedIn, Evernote, and Google Drive. The Pro version adds integration with Dropbox and Box for instant file access for email attachments.
The Lite version of Boxer for iPhone is free, while the Pro version runs $4.99. There is also a version available for Android. While it may seem a little steep for a mail app, you definitely get your money’s worth: Easy setup, prompt notifications, powerful integrations, and superior customization.
