How to Use Mind Maps – Legal Edition

Mind maps are a form of graphical note taking that help people organize their thoughts, clear their minds of clutter, and have a pretty picture to look at afterwards that’s a lot more useful than nasty notes scribbled on paper.
A perfect time to try out mind mapping is when you have a stressful, gnawing thing or project on your mind that’s overwhelming you. That’s when you might want to fire up some mind mapping software like MindMeister (online, web-based, free trial) to get stuff out of your head and into a visual format that you can easily rearrange and prioritize.
If you haven’t tried it, you gotta try it. I use them everyday in combination with Pomodoro and GTD techniques I’ve used over the years to structure my tasks and my thinking.
