Wednesday Wisdom: Streamline Your Firm’s Tasks Using Rocket Matter’s Filter Mode

Rocket Matter - Legal Billing Software - Practice Management SoftwareWe at Rocket Matter are huge fans of to-do lists and task tracking. Most people don’t realize it, but Rocket Matter contains one of the most powerful task tracking capabilities in any web product, including specifically designed apps like Remember The Milk.

Available by clicking “view My Tasks” on the User Dashboard, Filter Mode allows you to pare down your long list of to-do’s by viewing only what you’ve assigned, what’s been assigned to you, and even allows you to build custom filters. Filter Mode is perfect for those who do a lot of delegating – or who have a lot delegated to them!

With Filter Mode, you can easily organize and monitor tasks and workflows. Need specific task information, click on “Created by me or assigned to me” to see a list of either in open tasks. Remember, completed tasks are not visible because they are no longer part of the mix.

Click on “Created by me and not assigned” to view tasks that you haven’t delegated yet. Click “Created by me and assigned to others” to see a list of things you have delegated and are still uncompleted. This is where you can really keep an eye out for unfinished business. Finally, click on “Custom” to see all tasks assigned by whom, to whom, specifically. This range can involve any and all users, including multiple names on both ends. Get creative, for example, and find out which tasks your boss assigned your assistant, or your assistant assigned your boss (it can work both ways!)

Stay tuned for more great tips on using Rocket Matter to streamline your workflow and increase your productivity. Don’t use Rocket Matter yet? Sign up for a no risk 30-day trial and see how you can instantly increase your productivity and simplify your workflow.
