App of the Week: Expensify – Record and Track Business Expenses on Your Phone
Few things are more tiresome than keeping track of your receipts in order to submit an expense report or gathering them together for the annual trek to your accountant.
Expensify automates the process by recording expenses and scanning receipts as they occur.
Sign up for an account on their website, download the app, and start tracking and organizing your expenses.
Use the camera on your phone to scan receipts and the app will SmartScan the image and pull out the merchant, date, and amount of the transaction. You can also track and record mileage via GPS or odometer entry.
When you’re done, choose which expenses should be added to an expense report, import additional expenses from your bank and credit cards and send it off to your accounting department. You can even be reimbursed directly to your checking account.
