App of the Week: Shake – Create and Deliver Legal Agreements On Your Phone

Named as one of the 5 apps that are changing how business is done, on the same day that CEO, Abe Geiger, took center stage at the widely popular and highly regarded ReInvent Law conference, Shake, the app that let’s you create and send legally binding agreements on your phone, had a good day.
And for good reason. Shake is a useful app that allows you to quickly and easily draw up your own contract or use one of the built-in templates – like Freelance Agreement, Rental Agreement, Nondisclosure Agreement, Loan Money Agreement – then sign and deliver it to all parties. The entire transaction is done on your phone.
Back at Geiger’s ReInvent Law presentation on Legal Infrastructure for the Sharing Economy earlier today, the tweets were flying:
@shakelaw created a mobile app that lets you create, sign and send a legal document in seconds #reinventlaw

@ShakeLaw = #TinyLaw, democratization of contracts, #ReinventLaw, you know it. — Pat Ellis (@Sparty_Legal) February 7, 2014

If you’re engaged in complex transactions, you’ll probably need a lawyer to handle your agreements, but for basic jobs, Shake it.
Particularly useful for freelancers and small businesses, Shake is free and available on iOS devices – iPhone, iPad and iPod.
