Quickly Fire Up an Online Notepad In Your Browser
Browsing online or on a call and need to quickly take notes? You no longer have to fire up another application like Evernote or the native Mac Stickies. Simply open a new tab in your browser, enter a line of text and you’re good to go.
Here’s how: In the new tab or window, type the following into your browser location bar and hit enter:
data:text/html, <html contenteditable>
Start typing your notes on the blank screen. That’s it! Quick and very handy, especially if you’re using someone else’s computer and don’t have access to their note taking applications.
You can also save the note as an HTML file by clicking on “File” and “Save Page As”. I came across this the other day and have already used it several times. TIP: Add the page to your “Bookmarks Bar” for easy access.
